Ginger Baxter Giaise, 40, of Collinsville, Mississippi, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, September 1, 2026.
Family members tracked Ginger Baxter Giaise’s phone to the Shell convenience store on Holland Avenue near Airpark Medical Clinic and found Ginger inside a parked vehicle before notifying the Philadelphia Police Department at about 4:15 p.m.
Police Chief Eric Lyons said investigators believe the vehicle had been parked there for about five to six hours, and authorities believe Ginger had passed several hours before being found.
Officials said the inquiry remains ongoing, and they are awaiting an autopsy to determine the official cause of death.
