Chelsea Patterson, 37, of Honobia, Oklahoma, Dies After Two-Car Rollover on U.S. 259 in LeFlore County Tuesday Afternoon

Chelsea Patterson, a 37-year-old Honobia resident, died Tuesday afternoon after a two-car roadway incident on U.S. 259 in LeFlore County, Oklahoma.

Troopers said Patterson drove south at about 2:30 p.m. with three passengers and moved to pass another car on the two-lane road.

At the same time, another vehicle turned onto Zafra Road, and the two vehicles collided, causing Patterson’s car to overturn.

Emergency crews arrived after 911 calls and pronounced Patterson dead at the scene before transport could take place.

Two passengers from Patterson’s car survived and traveled by ambulance to a nearby hospital for emergency care, while the other driver reported no harm.

State troopers continued reviewing seat belt use and roadway evidence as the Honobia community mourned the sudden loss of a neighbor and friend.
