Karen Joseph, 62, Stratford Resident, Remembered After Warwick Road Crash Following Police Pursuit
Karen Joseph, a 62-year-old Stratford resident, passed away Friday after a crash on Warwick Road along the A439.
On a late Monday afternoon around 5:40 p.m., Karen drove a Ford Puma with a daughter in the passenger seat when a black Audi A3 struck the vehicle.
Paramedics took Karen to a nearby hospital, where medical teams cared for Karen in critical care for four days.
Karen’s daughter survived with minor cuts and bruises.
The 19-year-old Audi driver also died at the scene after the six-minute pursuit that began on Birmingham Road.
Warwickshire Police referred the case to the Independent Office for Police Conduct, which opened an investigation on the evening of the crash.
Investigators continue to review dashcam footage, nearby security recordings, and other evidence as formal inquests prepare to open.
Karen’s passing leaves family, friends, and the Stratford community mourning a sudden and deeply painful loss.
