Dennis Plourde passed away on August 31, 2026, at 3:54 a.m., at the age of 45 after a serious illness led to hospital care beginning on August 12.
Medical teams intubated Dennis, used a ventilator, began dialysis after renal failure, addressed central line complications, and monitored blood pressure through an arterial catheter in the wrist.
Dennis remained very sensitive to touch and movement as caregivers worked to arrange transfer to another hospital for additional care.
Family members received word on August 30 that Dennis might not make it through the night, and loved ones gathered close during the final hours.
