Arthur Marshall of Hephzibah, Georgia, passed away at age 57 in Sarasota, Florida, after facing stomach cancer.
Marshall graduated with the Hephzibah High School Class of 1987 and became widely remembered as one of the community’s most gifted athletes.
Marshall later played college football for the University of Georgia Bulldogs before joining the NFL with the Denver Broncos and New York Giants.
As a wide receiver, Marshall made league history with an 81-yard touchdown pass to Denver receiver Cedric Tillman during a game against the Dallas Cowboys, setting a rare record for the longest pass by a non-quarterback.
After football, Marshall built a second career in Florida real estate and remained known for steady dedication, discipline, and lasting community ties.
