Anthony Astorini, 28-Year-Old TSA Officer From Moore, South Carolina, Dies In Head-On I-85 Crash During Early Morning Commute

Anthony Astorini, a 28-year-old Transportation Security Officer living in Moore, South Carolina, died around 3:30 on a Friday morning during a head-on crash on Interstate 85 near Exit 63 in Spartanburg County.

Anthony was driving a Hyundai when a northbound car entered the southbound lanes and struck the vehicle directly, and the other driver also died at the scene.

Originally from Freehold, New Jersey, Anthony later made a home in South Carolina and built a life centered on work, family, fitness, and personal interests.

Colleagues remembered Anthony as someone who brought humor and warmth to long shifts while helping passengers move through airport screening.

Family members and friends also remembered Anthony’s love of workouts, health remedies, Star Wars, Marvel movies, Godzilla statues, Italian dinners, and seafood meals.

Loved ones now honor Anthony Astorini as a young person whose energy, kindness, and steady presence left a lasting mark.
